Magnesium alloys foundry

Explat company foundry produces castings for automotive and aircrafr industry, for example: car wheel disks, engine block castings, gear block castings. For electrical hand tools there are, for example, castings for drilling machines, planes and saws. We also produce special anodes for anticorrosive protection of warm water electrical reservoirs.

The magnesium alloy foundry has a capacity of 100 tons of the cast material per year and we supply castings from single pieces to bigger series. Some types of casting have the weight of 150 kg.

Technology of moulding used for the manufacture of castings:

• Manual – self-solidifying mixtures (furan)
• Machine – bentonite mixtures

We provide delivery of castings together with model manufacture and accurate machining.

• AZ 63 HP 42491
• According to DIN HP 1729

Castings are supplied heat-treated, pickled, according to a customer’s demand with chemical analysis, metallography, X-RAY testing unit, mechanical tests (strength, hardness, notch tougness)
